NS Office of the Ombudsman Youth Summit
Do you want to have your voice heard?
Do you want to share your experience as a young person? The Nova Scotia Office of the Ombudsman is seeking young people between the ages of 14 and 17 to participate in the first ever Ombudsman Youth Summit. A diverse group of youth from all over Nova Scotia will come together to participate in a unique and innovative approach to sharing and learning about the issues affecting youth today.
The summit takes place in downtown Halifax on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Participation in the youth summit is free and meals will be provided. Financial assistance for travel will be made available for those who need it. Friday night accommodations will be available for those traveling from outside of the Halifax Regional Municipality. Participants staying overnight at the hotel are required to have an adult chaperone accompany them.
