Wanda McDonald is Manager of Addiction Services with the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Social Work and has over 20 years of experience working in both rural and urban settings in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and abroad. In her current position Wanda is responsible for the development of policy such as provincial standards. She also participates in national policy, research and funding agreement initiatives. Prior to 2006 she worked with youth and families in a variety of treatment settings. Over the years she has volunteered with numerous boards and community groups. She has been a sessional instructor with Memorial University of Newfoundland and Dalhousie University. She enjoys travelling, reading and being in the outdoors with her husband and their three-year-old twin boys.
