On September 11th and 12th 2014, Wisdom2Action, in collaboration with the Arctic Child and Youth Foundation, the Qaujigiartiit Health Research Centre, the Government of Nunavut (including Mental Health services, Family Services and Crime Prevention) and other local, regional and territorial organizations, hosted a 2 day knowledge sharing and networking event focused on identifying opportunities and recommendations for improving the health and well-being of young people in Nunavut.
Through Art of Hosting creative facilitation methodologies, Wisdom2Action created a unique opportunity for young people, service providers, researchers and other key stakeholders to come together to learn, share and connect with the ultimate goal of improving youth health and wellness.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Wisdom2Action acknowledges the land on which it was originally established as the traditional and unceded territory of the M’ikmaq, known as Mi’kmak’i (Nova Scotia). Our team is spread across Turtle Island (Canada) on the treaty lands of many First Nations. We recognize the people and the land in this way as part of our commitment to anti-oppression and decolonization. We are all treaty people.
